He will be admitted first thing tomorrow morning to Primary Children's Hospital where he will stay for 3 days. He will be "regulated" and we all need to be educated.

Tomorrow is a new day where we will look at this thing and say "bring it"

6 months of awesomeness (and some not so awesomeness). most recent (last week) to least recent (February... ouch I am realllly behind.) ((("amy we already know how your stupid blog works you don't have to tell us EVERYTIME...)))

we (one of us) lost a tooth. finally!

which made our girl who spent her summer searching for "legendary rocks" SO HAPPY.
we started 4th grade and 2nd grade.
we looked so cute.

and handsome.

we mostly love each other. except for the times we can't stand each other.
we went to bear lake. we remembered swim suits one of the times. we forgot the camera most of the times. we (one of us) hated the water. and yet we (one of us) ran to the water at 900 miles per hour on a death wish. we (two of us) were worn out and it shows.

we (two of us), however, loved the water... pool style and lake style. we hated the canyon drive though and we (one of us) puked. in the freshly detailed car.

we saw the dinosaurs in Ogden.

we were scared of the dinosaurs in Ogden. we (one of us) puked in Grandma's car going back to Logan.

we (one of us) became the hardest 2 year old in the history of 2 year olds. studies have shown that 3 binkis is the answer. . .

we played with our totally awesome cousins, Bergs and Jumper. and we (one of us) borrowed Berg's swimsuit.

we 24th of Julyed... we (two of us) loved watching the parade

and we (two of us plus one best friend) got our picture with the clown that we (one of us) had an embarrassing moment with last year...

we (one of us) was starting to look a LOT better...

we (one of us) got the worst haircut known to dogkind.

we (one of us) had to get staples in our face because of said horrible haircut. ((it's ok Ash. we (most of us) are so not mad!))

we rode in the Children's Parade and we rocked the sports theme...

we ARE cute!

we (one of us) turned 7...

and partyed like it was 1999 (ok fine that doesn't work here. whatever.)

we (one of us) should not be allowed to make cakes because this is how they turn out:

we had the fanciest of fancy friend party...

oh la la!

we (one of us) was a good sport and dressed up fancy too. who am I kidding? I love my pink tutu. I wear it ALL the time.

we (one of us) got a sweet-do. that didn't last too long because it was embarrassing. to him not me.

we had a fun summer. we learned that matching clothes and purple lips with one of your BFF's is crucial to a fun summer.

we had a fun visit from dear friends Sarah and Ruby. we scared Ruby half to death because we are loud and crazy.

we (3 of us) got some pretty rockin' pictures taken by a certain rockin' photographer. who came and helped us SO MUCH this summer. thanks Ash. <3

we (all of us but one) spent many many hours outside...

we snuggled our new, sweet cousin. we (one of us) wasn't too happy about it.

we (one of us) is obsessed with BUGS. and we (one of us) had to get within one inch of BUGS to make sure it actually is BUGS.

we (one of us) had a horrible, horrible, horrible accident on June 8. brief summary: biking down hobble creek canyon + wet roads + tight turn + truck = broken, broken, broken Andy ( right radius - arm -, left scaphoid - wrist -, and right tibial plateau - leg - ) and scared, scared, scared wife. remember last summer and the 8 million Disneyland pictures? well here is this summer's 8 million pictures: (WARNING: SOME ARE SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY GROSS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.)

post surgery and in SO MUCH PAIN:

*obviously, this made for the LONGEST, LONGEST, LONGEST summer EVER, but we are so GRATEFUL to still have Andy with us. it could have been much worse. WE (ALL OF US) ARE SO THANKFUL for the prayers and the help that was offered on our behalf. we could not have made it through this alone. ok now back to the blogaroo...*

we (one of us) decided that choosing our clothes was more fun than mom choosing our clothes. pink and red... yessssssss.

we (one of us) had a run in with the basement couch and chipped our PERMANENT front teeth right in half.

we dance recitaled... and we (one of us) did such a GREAT job!

we (one of us) got phonecalls from grandma and daddy who were both SO SAD that they couldn't come...

school's out... we celebrated with some mini-golf (all of us) and a migraine (one of us)

we had the BEST teachers EVER! Mrs. Mecham...

and Mrs. Blackhurst

we made such good friends in school this year and we (one of us) were so sad that one best friend had to move :(

we (one of us) did such a FABULOUS job in our 1st grade program and even got to rap SOLO in the microphone... (p.s. is this not the cutest couple below? I would have to say yes, yes it is. 1st grade... whatever. they are CUTE!!!) also, we (one of us) had a fever of 104 in this picture and we (none of us) had any idea until we got home. SO SAD!

this is the "fish backdrop" that we (one of us) spent hours and hours (and hours and hours) on...

we spent many hours in the freezing cold at spring soccer. the cold didn't stop one of us...

we (one of us) turned 8? no Peaches: 2. you turned 2.

we (one of us) makes us (all of us) so, so happy. that smile is contagious. we (all of us) LOVE YOU PEACHES and we (all of us) mean it.

we (one of us) made a wish (no Peaches: you can't have a baby pig.)

we babysat Jimmy Jumps for a week because...

we Pinewood derbied.... I think we won one heat? better than last year...

we (3 of us) loved petting the animals. we (one of us) was having to take deep, deep breaths for obvious reasons. *G*E*R*M*S*

we celebrated the March-April birthday peoples. which included moi and a very pregnant beetle.

the anticipation of the pop is too much for me. just typing this makes my heart race a little faster.

here is how I do it:

I pull the tab just a little . . .

and then throw it on the ground. this way I know WHEN it will pop and that it won't be in my face.

I also just realized that I am probably the only one out there, besides my grandma, still eating pillsbury. I have more important things to do than make stuff from scratch! ... like mop the floor from doughy-residue... ya know???

a few months ago I was logging onto our online banking

which was extremely frustrating

because it wasn't "recognizing" my password (hello old friend! you've always been the same...)

so...

in a fit of rage I changed my password

which was not accepted

time and time again

so in an even more fit of rage

I tried one last time

to change that password

and I might've changed it

into some sort of (ok really) naughty words

and just like that it said

"your password has been changed"

so for months everytime I logon to online banking

I have to type in naughty words.

my questions for you:

should I change it back?

does an actual person at the bank know my password?

and are you going to try and break into my account now?

do stuff that you have no idea is weird but come to find out is REALLLLY weird?

for example: I just assumed that EVERYONE Lysol's their flip-flops. what? they don't? well I do. gross if you don't. you wash your socks don't you?

also! I for the LOOONGEST time have stored our "guest" pillows in a large Ziploc bag. so, you know, they stay fresh and dust free!!? I had no idea that that was odd until my girlfriend pointed out that I am FREAK-ISH. (love you Sar.)

and just today someone (you know who you are MICHELLE!!!!) laughed at my dish brush labeled "OLD" for sink cleaning ONLY (not to be mistaken with the one that currently cleans the dishes!) heaven forbid that the sink germs get on my dishes that go IN THE SINK.

don't tell anyone ok? this can be our little secret. you know, your freakish friend that you are going to go and tell EVERYONE about? haha! share your weirdnesses -- I DARE YOU!!!

the 24th ... Ty and Hai in the parade. they loved it. Hai was pretty sure it made her famous. I am pretty sure it didn't.

RODEO!!! we all LOVED it. funny (((true))) story: when we were walking in one of the clowns looked at Hai and said "Hi cutie!" I (yes I -- not she) said "HI!" there was no recovery -- "I meant -- she says hi?" he looked at me like a crazy.

we went to the Fiesta Days Carnival -- where Ty did 2 spinning rides in a row. we told him he looked "pale" which TOTALLY FREAKED HIM OUT!!! it was hilarious.....

Tyler's account of his experience at the WAC tournament...

"I went to Reno, Nevada for the WAC tournament to cheer on the Aggies! On the first game against Fresno State we won the game. On the second game against New Mexico State we won by 1 POINT! On the last game against Nevada, when the clock was on 24 seconds everybody started moving down so that they could run down on the court when the buzzer went off and then on the buzzer everybody WENT WILD!!! SO DID I!!! And I got to give Brady Jardine a high-five and then a picture with Matt Formisano and the WAC trophy. After the Nevada game, I talked with Gary Wilkinson. I said "NICE JOB!!!" At every game, Uncle Rico and I went to give the Aggies high-five when they were running in and out of the tunnel. I got to give Stew a high-five! When they were running out at the first half of the Nevada game, Pooh Williams gave me a HUGE smile!!!

We also went to Circus-Circus to play and win prizes! (like at Chuck-E-Cheese's) The hotel I stayed at was called "The Nugget" ... so me and Rico shared a room together. And Grandma and Grandpa Scott shared a room. Kenny was there who stayed at Circus-Circus. I had a FUN TIME!!! And that's all!"

COLDPLAY was beyond PHENOMENAL. hands down the best concert of my life. and yes this clip is from the Salt Lake City show -- last night -- in which we were in attendance. Andrew said it's the best birthday present he has ever gotten. I would have to agree.

if I could figure out how to download pictures from my cell phone I would be able to show you that at one point I was 6 feet from Chris Martin. 6 FEET. I am pretty sure he winked at me. holy dang smokes... IT WAS INCREDIBLE.

It was a crazy day, to say the least... Clone Trooper Rex got tackled at recess and ended up with a broken collar bone. Yeah, that part wasn't (and still isn't) too fun.

I bought chocolate covered cinnamon bears earlier today.

I have just now partaken while watching David Cook on SNL.

AND THEY ARE TERRIBLE. Not even CINNAMONEY* at ALL.

Talk about a let down.

I bought 2 huge containers of them... now what? Can I return them ... "HI... UM.... THESE WERE NOT CINNAMONEY!"

Just to be clear: the cinnamon bears were a let down. NOT David.

***a modern-day, true love story... seriously!***

disclaimer: if all things mushy and ooey-gooey aren't "your thing" then please by all means skip this post.

it all started on a cool, crisp September evening. it was a casual trip into Target. nothing in particular to buy... just browsing. isn't that how you're supposed to shop Target... just ewwww and awwww over the "fun-ness" and occasionally buy the "fun-ness" ? ...

at first glance, I wasn't so sure. "it's different! too different?"

then I saw the price tag. the CLEARANCE price tag. 50% off! oh my! $80 down to $40. oh my!!!

I consulted my partner in crime. (mother.) oh yes! she likes! the color is different.

I buy it. my heart flutters with excitement. i hope my new treasure looks lovely somewhere in my house. somewhere... there must be somewhere!

the days pass. the weeks go on. treasure still has no home. no where to look pretty. no where fitting for such a find.

sigh. I guess it's back to Target you go.

upon it's return, the Target lady says "wow! it's now marked down to $19.99!"

"WHAT?" panic. panic. panic. 75% off!?? I HAVE to HAVE it. at 75% off. HAVE TO.

"Can I buy it back?"

"NO." She says. "You have to wait for it to go back on the floor."

"Seriously lady?" (I thought. I should have said.)

Instead I walked away.

And stalked those 2 aisles of the store for the remainder of our Target visit.

no sign of my 75% off treasure.

but no worries, I will come back in the morning. first thing in the morning. never mind the 20 minute drive. I'll be back.

my first thing in the morning turned into 10:00. oh crep. fat chance treasure is still there... but I gotta try. I've GOT TO TRY.

I arrive at the aisle. no sign of my treasure. I casually skim the end caps of all surrounding aisles. no sign.

it's gone. someone else grabbed your 75% off beautiful self and they are happy and I am not!

I give it one last shot. one last thorough look. it is no where to be found... it is really, really not there.

as I exit the aisle, ready to accept my defeat, I see a Target boy headed my way.

and in a magical turn of events: GUESS WHAT HE IS HOLDING?

I proceed to watch him try to find a spot for the treasure. he can't find others (there are no others.) he is baffled as to where it belongs.

I want to shout "It's MINE!!! ALL MINE." and then of course, let out a wicked, evil laugh.

Instead, I play it cool. "Excuse me: Can I take a peak at that?"

"Oh! I like it!"

"I think I'll take it!"

He says "Really?" (It's too different for you Target boy? you don't like the color, do you?)

My heart is beating so fast I swear it's going to jump out of my chest.

Can you BELIEVE THAT TIMING? A moment sooner or a moment later and it would not have ended this way. See... we were MEANT to be.

Just at 75% off. Not 50% off.

Now back to the drawing board: where to put you? for 75% off, I am sure I will find the PERFECT spot.

so I took her to Sam's Salon or whatever the heck it's called (the Wal-Mart haircutting placey-thingy).... wait: did you just gasp? I thought I WAS the GASPER!

I gave the cutter (stylist? yeah right) what I thought were clear instructions.

explanations. clarifications. details.

first off: "beef and eggs" is a smashing [junky!] t-shirt that my beloved insists on wearing all together too often. we were going to a dinner with the new colleagues and I assumed we should dress up. or at least look nice. long story short: I painted my toenails (meaning I got alllll ready) and he wore beef and eggs. nice.

ok now back to the whole we are moving to Utah thing!

Andrew was offered a position at U.V.U. (Utah Valley University) It was offered to us and seriously we had our house on the market less than a week later. We left for Utah 2 weeks later. We left all our belongings there... in hopes to help our cute house sell a little faster in this d_r_a_b market. It broke our hearts to leave our house and our SD friends behind.

On to Utah: YES WE ARE HOME!!! ... a deal 7 years in the making! ...

We are *roughing* it here... we only brought what we could fit in our 2 cars. (that's not much.) We found a cute rental in *UTAH VALLEY SOMEWHERE * (don't want too many specifics on here -- ya know) that will do us just fine until we find a house to buy. Ty and Hai started school and are loving it. Our house sold last week (WHAT A HUGE MAJOR BLESSING and RELIEF!) so Andrew and his Dad are in SD right now getting all our stuff.

What am I forgetting to tell you all? I am sure a lot :)

but we do!!! we so do!!!

ok. you all know by now that I have a sweet new baby. along with a baby comes the FUN of feeding every 3 or so hours. so while feeding her I always hideout in my bedroom so that a) if anyone drops by unannounced I won't be embarrased. and b) so that I can watch tv while feeding the little (ok not so little... more info. on that later) peanut.

alright so you do the math: that is a lot of tv watching. seriously. I tried reading because I am sure that's much more productive... but I hate it. reading is like homework to me. so I dedicated myself to HGTV. UNTIL I COULDN'T STAND TO WATCH ONE MORE re-decorated/re-painted/re-furbished/re-EVERYTHINGED house...... so I went channel surfing. I ran into this little gem on the Oxygen channel: "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." Yes, it is a reality show following Tori Spelling, her husband Dean something (I think he might be famous?) and their son Liam.

I am hooked. It is basically hilarious. I mean, these people are for REAL and yet the whole time I keep thinking "these people can't be for real." ANYWAY........ in a recent episode, Liam starts swimming lessons. Everytime he put his little face in the water, Tori gasps. Huge annoying (but totally not on purpose!) gasps. She then follows the footage with the commentary that she is a huge gasper. If anything could possibly endanger her child -- she gasps. OH MY GOSH!!! THIS IS ME!!! I am a gasper. It is so embarrasing, but I seriously can't help it.

Take for example, just the other day on Hailey's last day of swimming lessons she was going off the low dive. Now keep in mind Hailey can't swim. This is her first year of lessons. She did great -- but is not even CLOSE to swimming. Every time her instructor had her try to swim to him she would sink. So -- I am a little paranoid that my child is going off the low dive with her only life saving device being the noodle they tied around her waist. Sure there was a lifeguard in the pool... but there are also roughly a million other children.... So just as she is going off the diving board for the 3rd or 4th time -- I express to my husband (again!) how nervous it makes me. And then it happened! Her noodle came off. GAAAAAAAASP!!!!!!! I am sure that people thought that I was having a heart attack. OK, so I sort of was!!! HELLO -- my little girl -- ON HER BIRTHDAY -- is going to DROWN!!!!!! I literally jumped of the bleachers and ran marathon style to the other end of the pool, gasping gasping gasping the whole way. I couldn't even get words out. Just huge gasps and me pointing at the deep end.

The funny thing: Hailey didn't panic. At all. She calmly grabbed the edge of her noodle and kicked her way to the side.

Now talk about feeling foolish. I should have taken a bow at that point -- don't you think? But I mean, seriously, it scared me half to death.

Do any of you do this? Are you an over-panicker and a gasper just like myself and Tori Spelling?

So I guess I should say: Tori Spelling (I KNOW you read my blog!!! come on -- I watch your show...) since we seem to have something in common, if you are ever in the area -- give me a call, let's do a playdate. We can totally gasp the day away.

we are all adjusting to life with Paige here. in fact, I can't really remember life before she arrived. funny how that happens. she is a great baby. she doesn't cry much. . . her preferred "sound" is grunting. it's kind of an odd sound. I guess we are used to it but I get some strange looks when out and about with her. she definitely goes with the flow -- which is a HUGE blessing because there is a lot of "flow" round here. we are out and about much of the day running to school (Hai), soccer camp (Ty), swimming lessons(Hai & Ty), T-ball (Ty), etc etc etc. and for the most part little Paigers just sleeps the whole time peacefully in her car seat. (with the exception of an occasional grunt....) it is something new to me because Hailey so didn't go with the flow. she hated being in her car seat. in fact, she hated just about everything. it is so nice to have a SWEET, PERFECT little baby.

now here is where I am struggling. it's this crazy little fraction: 2/3. and if any of you know me, I mean really really know me, then you can guess what this little fraction relates to. got it? yes, it is about my crazy obsession with keeping a clean, organized house.

you see, my house is multi-level. 3 levels to be exact. and everyday I can get 2/3 of the levels clean. the upper-upstairs (bedrooms/bathroom) always gets cleaned: beds made, bathroom shiny, everything picked up and in it's proper place (I even maintain the closets... I just have to. OCD I know...) upstairs (aka main level) -- also gets clean: although a little trickier b/c it is the kitchen level, I manage to stay on top of dishes and keep this level clean and put together (yes, even my cupboards are lovely... remember-- OCD here!) NOW for the 1/3 that doesn't get done... the 1/3 that is weighin' me down: THE BASEMENT!!! yikes. ok, to be honest, our basement family room generally is clean -- this is where the kids have all their toys and they are little champs about cleaning up on a daily basis. (see job charts on previous post). the laundry room is ok... I do ALL laundry on Mondays so on Mondays it's a zoo in there.... but the rest of the week it's just fine. the R*E*A*L problem is the EXTRA BEDROOM (insert evil howling noises). it has gotten out of hand. ever since little Paige joined us -- I have literally been throwing things in that room. stuff that I don't want to deal with. papers that need to be filed. kids stuff for their save boxes. stuff we are getting rid of. JUST STUFF EVERYWHERE. I should take a picture but I am too embarrased... it is just not like me to be so... MESSY!!! I know the solution seems easy: just ignore the other 2/3 for a day and focus on the 1/3... BUT I JUST CAN'T RIGHT NOW. I get too much satisfaction from pretty beds and a clean kitchen. but let me tell you that 1/3 is seriously eating away at me... always in the back of my head... I mean, what if -- HEAVEN FORBID: someone were to SEE IT?

so faithful blog readers, let's cut this girl some slack and give her a little peace of mind: promise me that if you should happen to swing by for a visit, you will not, under any circumstance, go to the 1/3 or, more specifically, the extra bedroom. it has just got to be messy for now.

it was a great day. I got everything done I had hoped to get done -- caught up on laundry -- house clean -- little nagging projects done -- big nagging projects put on a list of things I will have to worry about after the baby.

it was just one of those "I kick butt" days.

Tyler has a double-ear infection. His left ear drum ruptured in the night. He is now puking today. and running a fever.

tonight, for the first time EVER (and I really am being serious) Ty ate and swallowed a carrot. ok -- half a baby carrot. He is 7 years old.

The sad truth: this is the first vegetable that he has EVER swallowed (besides baby food.) Yep. Now before you judge me (you already did, DIDN'T YOU?!?!) please know that it has not been for lack of effort on our part or his. As many times as we have tried and tried and tried (and tried and tried and tried -- you get the point) -- he simply can't swallow them (fresh fruits either.) he gags and pukes. so you can imagine my absolute DELIGHT when he took a big bite out of the carrot -- chewed chewed chewed and INSTEAD of gagging gagging gagging he swallowed swallowed swallowed!!! Big night at the Creer household. HUGE.

AMAZING!!!

we had a "gender-check-ultrasound" on Monday (yes, it's still a girl) -- and I COULD NOT believe these awesome pictures that the Dr. captured of the baby's face! I think the first picture looks so much like Hailey when she was a newborn. we are getting so excited. just 11 weeks to go (in case you lost track. ok, I know you lost track.)

the explanation:

I got up to use the bathroom at 2:00 a.m.ish --- this resulted in a certain dog waking up and needing to go out --- I took care of the Scoob and was almost home-free tucked back in bed when I hear Ty start coughing (I HATE COUGHS. I would take the stomach flu ANY DAY over coughs. stomach bugs last 3 days MAX. coughs, at least at our house GO ON FOREVER. enough about that.) So... I proceed to get back out of bed and take care of coughing Ty. at last I made it back to bed. no sooner did Andrew wake up to use the bathroom. I was annoyed.

the explanation:
Andrew is a "piggy-back-pee'er." huh? THAT'S RIGHT. A "PIGGY-BACK-PEE'ER." he gets up and uses the bathroom only AFTER I have have used the bathroom and then taken care of all our little dependents. TRUE STORY!

I would become the piggy-back-pee'er. but I can't hold it these days.

and here's is Andrew's sweet? response to my annoyance (is that a word?):

do any of you have certain songs that cause (like an unstoppable force of nature) the "hand" microphone to surface? you know what I mean, right? the HAND MICROPHONE...!!!??? you know, fist clenched, thumb up? I realized the other day that any time Chicago comes on the radio or cycles through my i-Pod the trusty old hand mic makes it's appearance. I can't help it. It just happens.

what are YOUR hand mic songs? ok ok ok... even if you don't do the hand mic (why not???) certainly there are songs you just can't help belting out...

I know, I know... but it's on the counter so much it technically could be a decoration. AND IT'S SO GOOD.

the tree. decorated for the 3rd and final time. long long long story -- just know it is completely shatterproof at this point.

close-up of the tree. it is quite lovely and quite harmless... all at the same time.
parental tip: never give your child these 2 options: 1) stop the football roughness while the tree is up or 2) the tree goes down -- because he/she will pick the tree going down. this was our compromise.

I love my sparkly joy letters. LOVE THEM.

no wait... AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I have been a blog slacker. I have been bad (obviously) at posting and bad at keeping up with all of yours. isn't this just a CRAZY (but FUN) time of year?

here are a few quick updates:
we had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with dear friends here is South Dak. The meal and the company were splendid. A special thank-you to Quinn and Teresa for hosting and making such a DELICIOUS dinner. We don't know what we would do without our dear friends here; and we hope to never find out ;) We had a great day.

a double whammy, I know. believe me, I know.

Allow me to explain.

(Here is the I am going crazy part.)
Last night I was having a hard time falling asleep. As I was laying there I heard what I thought was the sump pump turning on. That's strange -- it's FREEEEZING cold, there's no way that the sump pump is turning on. So... I continue thinking... WHAT IS THAT NOISE????? Oh cr*p ... it's our furnace: it's going to explode. It's our auto ice maker: gone wild. It's our garage door: obviously possessed of the devil -- going up/down/up/down. AHHHH!!! WHAT IS THAT NOISE? Finally, I couldn't take it. I woke up my soundly-sleeping hubby:

"WHAT IS THAT NOISE?"

He says "the WASHING MACHINE?"

I said "No-- I finished all the laundry earlier. It isn't the washing machine."

He says "It's not???"

Me (panicking!): "WHAT IS THAT NOISE?"

Right then it occurred to me...

Me to poor hubby: "never mind -- go back to sleep."

Sooooo... I HAD started the washing machine. And completely forgot. Totally and completely forgot. Because, you see...

(And here is the I am crazy part.)
I didn't start the washing machine to wash clothes. Or sheets. Or anything else that you wash in a washing machine. INSTEAD, I was 'hot water/bleaching' the actual washing machine. There has been so much laundry activity this week that I decided it was time to wash the washing machine.

Please please please tell me that at least one of you out there has done or does do this? Please. We can be crazy together. In fact, I think there might be a club or group or something that we could join...

Tyler wanted to have dinner at Applebee's and go bowling on his birthday. After we found out there were bowling leagues, we changed our plans to Pizza Hut and swimming afterwards.

Tyler's birthday party was Friday night. We had a "surprise" guest... one of Ty's heros: Andy Hoogeveen -- an SDSU linebacker. Ty answered the door and said "ANDY?!!" He was so shocked and so happy!

The theme for Ty's party was the Red Sox! Grandma did a great job frosting the baseball cake and cupcakes.

The sign that I took WAY too long to do... but it turned out kinda cool, don't you think?!

my mom is in town. we ventured to Sioux Falls for a Target/mall run on Thursday (no school because of parent/teacher conferences)

while in Target, lots of nice customers were smiling at the children. in response, Ty would pull a frowny face and make a soft growling noise. real nice, huh? so my mom told Ty that it would be ok for him to be a little friendly and smile when others smiled at him.

Moments later, Hailey angelically smiled and said "hi" to a lady that we passed on the aisle. I was feeling so proud that at least one of my children could be polite. two seconds later she says "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" (as well as mustering the same soft growl as Ty.)

HOLY CR**! I was so embarrassed. I apologized to the (now laughing, thankfully) lady and said that I think she meant "excuse me" ... luckily the lady had a sense of humor.

*** Andrew and Tyler BOTH have staph infections on their fingers. OUCH... and SCARY! (no photos; be grateful)

*** Hailey's exact words last week: "It stings when I drink my spit." YES -- she had a sore throat and a fever. So now guess what? It stings when I drink MY spit! Here's to a LONG week.........

*** Today Tyler told me he has been learning about "George Columbus" this week in school.

*** Tonight Hailey and I were having a "churchy" conversation. She told me "I don't like that one guy." I said (quite surprised) "Jesus?" (Because we had been talking about Jesus.) She said "No! I LOVE Jesus! I don't like the OTHER guy!" Smart mommy SHOULD have said "the devil?", but instead I said "Heavenly Father?" ...and what did she say? "YES! HIM!" Um.... oh dear.

*** On a recent trip to Wal-Mart, Hailey and I passed by the girls bra section. Hailey whispered this to me: "Can I buy a little boob?" (I laughed out loud on that one)

*** Hailey proudly displayed on the refrigerator for a week the picture that she colored of "Adam and Steve" (got it? Adam and EVE...)

OK, I just realized most of these are Hailey. I guess she is kind of hilarious right now. Pictures to come of Ty who lost his first tooth this week -- woo-hoo!!!

Another SNAKE sighting today. Only this snake was 8 million times bigger than yesterday's. And the squirmy little devil was just hanging out right there next to our house!!! ARE... YOU... KIDDING... ME? Today's reaction: tears. Lots and lots of tears. Mostly because I don't want to move but WE HAVE TO... because, you see...

The snakes: They will come in. Through the toilets. Through the sump-pumps. Through the washing maching. Through the door that was left open a little too long. AND I will NOT be the one living here when they do...

SO... spread the word. HOUSE FOR SALE!!! YOU WILL GET A ***SCREAM*** OF A DEAL! (literally).

what is the worst thing that could happen to me today? this is the question I asked my mom, my sister, and kari. because the worst thing that COULD have happened DID happen to me today. now granted their answers -- your house burned down, you wrecked your car, your new puppy died -- were horrible, horrible things -- but this is worse. so way worse.

the kids and I took our little fur-ball pictured below out for a potty break. I sat on the porch stairs... just like I always do. so... right after sitting down, Hailey points and says "mom there's a BIG worm!" I look down. HOLY FREAKING *@#$(*!@#()$*!@)#(%*!)(@*#$()@#*!!!!!!!! It was a snake. Right there. Less than one inch from my left foot. I have never NEVER EVER EVER EVER reacted so irrationally in my life. I said things that shouldn't be said. I screamed. I pulled my hair. I ran to the middle of the drive-way which is the only place I thought I might be safe. (I couldn't get back inside -- the snake was right there by the porch by the door.) I seriously had full body convulsions. There is nothing in this world that I am more TERRIFIED of. Seriously. I can't believe this happened.

Andrew arrived home moments later. Of course, he was curious as to WHAT in the HECK could be going on. I told him. His reaction -- to go find the ?*!@)#(*$!)@(#*% thing (which had slithered into a tiny crack between the sidewalk and garden box) -- carry it to the large field next to our home -- and let it free. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Kill that sucker. Snakes die!

So now I am rethinking this house. I am willing to put it on the market tomorrow. And I am equally willing to tell every potential buyer that the reason that we are selling is SNAKES. Because no one should be tormented in this way.
