potato chips... holding hands... Tony...

another funny Tylerism (thanks Kari for the phraseology.)

Tyler came out of school today SO HAPPY! The reason -- he made a friend! HOOOORAY!! And this is his explanation (not his exact words... but darn close...) "Today at lunch I sat next to a boy. His name is Tony. He had never tried potato chips -- so I shared my potato chips -- and it made us friends! He is in Mrs. Larson's class, the class next door. We held hands back to our classrooms! "

I laughed so hard (internally of course)... such innocence in 1st grade! And also, hope Tony's mom doesn't come after us for feeding her kid potato chips....

Ha ha, well atleast you know he's willing do whatever it takes to make friends... he's on his way to being the school president... giving his classmates what they want the most and aren't aloud to have!

Nice call Tori! That's so kind of him to share his chips. You raised him well. Also, I hope that the other kids don't think it's weird that 2 little boys were holding hands.

I'm a bit sad that Ty has been holding someone else'e hand besides Cort's. We feel the tiniest bit betrayed! :)

Hey Ty 1st grade was way important and memorable to me too... I got my first marriage proposal and kiss during those oh so innocent days of childhood...

We see the real importance of being a true friend and non-judgmental when we look through the eyes of a child...way to go Tyler!!
