Amy needs

google your name + 'needs' and see what results pop-up...

here's mine :
Amy needs to either wake up or start getting some extra will-power
Amy needs to contact her phone service and have her number listed so her adoring public may contact her directly
Amy needs some helping drinking apparently (HAHAHA!)
Amy needs your help!
Amy Needs A Break
AMY NEEDS REHAB

that last one is true. actually the last 3 (ok 4 :) are true.
and even more true...

AMY NEEDS TO GET BACK TO PACKING. (For some reason, boxes don't magically pack themselves. Weird! T minus 10 days... did I say that right?)

(not) a happy camper

1996.
That was the last time I camped. I vowed then (due to coyotes and an out of control campfire) that I wouldn't camp again.

I camped again.
Friday night. Simply put: I was just trying to be diligent with my church duties.

It was... I don't want to say awful... but it sort of was awful. Pre-bedtime stuff was FUN (minus the enormous spider crawling up my thigh. I DON'T CARE IF IT WAS A DADDY-LONG LEG. IT WAS STILL A SPIDER.) The serious fun (um???) came when we retired to our tents. Did you know that in a South Dakota storm you DON'T FEEL SAFE IN A TENT (held up by METAL poles?) Nope. You don't. Let's just say my only comfort was that I brought my air mattress; I figured maybe I was safe from a lightening-related death because of the rubber base on that baby.

The most amazing part: the 4 month old baby in my tent SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE DANG THING. Couldn't believe it! We (the other tent occupants) hardly slept a wink.

Pictured are me at 3am (looking HOT huh?) and then me and the AMAZING babe the next morning.

Next time I camp?
2018... maybe...

the spears vs. the cavities

I have the cutest little boy in the world... see?

Anyway, this morning he eagerly awoke Andrew and I saying "I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE SPEARS/CAVITIES GAME!" Translation: He is excited for the Spurs/Cavaliers game. Told you he was cute...

Anfernee.

mean girls, as always, was a hit. my favorite line:

"Her name is Cady. Cady Heron. Where are you, Cady?

That's me. It's pronounced like Katie.

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee."

and this concludes my obsession with mean girls.

the end.

slam!

my sister said it yesterday. and it reminded of what an awesome phrase it is. I said I am bringing slam! back. just like I brought GRODY back. here's my question ... what other phraseology needs to be brought back? I kind of miss the whole "chill" with the hand motion... that's a possibility. I thought about wreasty (but then I realized I have no clue how to spell it so maybe not.) I do strongly feel like we should use the phrase "that's so fetch" as much as the "mean girls" do.

please contribute your thoughts.

:(

I am the victim of FRAUD. sort of. HOPEFULLY I caught it in time.

I received an e-mail from what I THOUGHT was PayPal needing to verify my info. -- heck-- it looked EXACTLY the same as the PayPal website. Anyway, the last step seemed fishy -- I should have stopped then. But NO -- I kept on going. It wasn't until I completed giving some jerks all my financial info. THAT I FIGURED IT OUT. I can't believe I didn't know. Now I know. And know you should all know too. NEVER EVER EVER verify your stuff b/c of an e-mail you receive. NEVER EVER.

And how is everyone else's day? You're all giving out your credit card info. as well... right?

"I CODY!!!"

This picture represents our evenings at Tyler's soccer games. Hailey was not a fan of sitting through his games; she would cry for most of the first half saying "I CODY!" (meaning I am cold) or "MY WETS ARE COMING!" (meaning she had to go to the bathroom.) FINALLY... at least at most games, she would give up and fall asleep. Turns out she wasn't "cody" and didn't have "wets coming"... but instead was "TIWERD."

***My hair, which you can see in the picture, is really not orange. Although it may appear that way.
