I owe you.

explanations. clarifications. details.

first off: "beef and eggs" is a smashing [junky!] t-shirt that my beloved insists on wearing all together too often. we were going to a dinner with the new colleagues and I assumed we should dress up. or at least look nice. long story short: I painted my toenails (meaning I got alllll ready) and he wore beef and eggs. nice.

ok now back to the whole we are moving to Utah thing!

Andrew was offered a position at U.V.U. (Utah Valley University) It was offered to us and seriously we had our house on the market less than a week later. We left for Utah 2 weeks later. We left all our belongings there... in hopes to help our cute house sell a little faster in this d_r_a_b market. It broke our hearts to leave our house and our SD friends behind.

On to Utah: YES WE ARE HOME!!! ... a deal 7 years in the making! ...

We are *roughing* it here... we only brought what we could fit in our 2 cars. (that's not much.) We found a cute rental in *UTAH VALLEY SOMEWHERE * (don't want too many specifics on here -- ya know) that will do us just fine until we find a house to buy. Ty and Hai started school and are loving it. Our house sold last week (WHAT A HUGE MAJOR BLESSING and RELIEF!) so Andrew and his Dad are in SD right now getting all our stuff.

What am I forgetting to tell you all? I am sure a lot :)

And now: the pictures....

couldn't leave SD without stopping at Mt. Rushmore!
... it was awesome.  you must ... go ... see ....

so happy to be back in Utah!

the cousins meet for the first time
first day of second grade

proof that we are roughing it...
first day of Kindergarten

so cute that they found each other after school and were holding hands...

and second day of Kindergarten (this is the outfit mom wanted on the first day... wasn't worth the battle though :)

the end.

I've learned that when you choose the right path, Heavenly Father opens up the way and things fall into place perfectly. Your life is PROOF! Andy's job, the house selling . . .it's amazing! We are so happy you guys are back and can't wait to see you!

Amy, so glad to see an update and pictures on your BLOG. It was a whirlwind two days with Andy and his dad. I only saw them briefly when I dropped pizza by while they were packing the moving van. By the time they got to our house late on Friay night, Andy and his dad looked pretty tired. I missed them on Saturday morning before they left with the moving van for the big drive back to Utah.

Kari and I miss you, but we are glad you are finally home. Give the kids a big hug from me!

With Love,

Teresa

Hi Amy! Blog-stalk away! Your comment was LOL funny. Then my husband {actually, Ben, since you are on a first-name basis with us} called me since he stalks my blog too. He said 'who is this Amy girl, her comment is way funny' so then he clicked over to see if he recognized you and was reading this post to me over the phone and we laughed and said relished the thought that some one so FUNNY, blog stalks US!!

Welcome back to UT -No need to give your address, I recognize the school from the pictures. I grew up near there, in that same undisclosed UT valley location.

So glad you left me a comment, and it is so nice to know that someone GETS IT!

I've been totally out of the blog loop! I can't believe you guys are back, that is so wonderful! We really would love to see you guys. Do you need help with anything? I just moved too and its a bit overwhelming. Hopefully we can get together one of these days. The kids are darling, and it doesn't suprise me a bit that Andrew would wear a "beef and eggs" shirt~men, gotta love 'em! Welcome home. :)

What the !? I take some time out from checking all the blogs and when I come back you have moved to Utah and Tori is havin' a baby!
By the way, how is Tyler in second grade?! What am I, a hundred years old? I seriously remember the day he was born. Aaron was visiting us in San Diego and it was awesome to see his reaction when he got the phone call.
I'm glad you're back with your cute family!
